Corbett National Park (105 km from Vanvilas)
Corbett national park is situated in Nainital dt. This park was the first to come under the Project Tiger initiative. Corbett has been a haunt for tourists and wildlife lovers for a long time. Tourism activity is only allowed in selected areas of Corbett Tiger Reserve so that people get an opportunity to see its splendid landscape and the diverse wildlife. Dense moist deciduous forest mainly consists of sal, haldu, peepal, rohini and mango trees. Forest covers almost 73% of the
park, 10% of the area consists of grasslands. It houses around 110 tree species, 50 species of mammals, 580 bird species and 25 reptile species.

Ramgarh (30 Km from VanVilas)
Situated at an altitude of 1789 mts. on Bhowali-Mukteshwar road Ramgarh is known for a variety of Himalayan fruits and spectacular views of the Himalayan ranges. The famous poets Rabindranath Tagore and Mahadevi Verma have praised the serenity of this place. The poems 'Geetanjali' and 'Sandhya Geet' were composed here. Ramgarh also houses a fruit processing factory run by the Government.      

Mukteshwar: (55 km from Vanvilas)
Mukteshwar got its name for a 350 years old Shiva temple. Mukteshwar temple is one of the major attractions in Mukteshwar hill station. Trekkers love to pay visit to the temple and observe 350 years old craft and culture. The 16 by 14 mile wide deodar forest gives a sensation of oneself being in the movie land and travelers become more excited with the opportunity to live among wildlife like tigers and bears.
